Inform, persuade and sell 

In this essay I will be exploring how our advertising campaign will inform,persuade and sell to our target audience which is middle class teenagers from all ethnicities.

Our campaign looks to inform by consisting facts which gives the shock factor to our audience. We do this by informing them about the amount of girls who have little confidence due to the influence in the media and trying to look like those who they see on online, TV and in magazines. Our main fact that we will be using is "having clear and healthy skin was important to 81% of young girls". We believe that this fact is suitable for our campaign as it highlights that a large amount of girls are affected by this problem and how important it is to them. Once this is used we hope to use emotive language which would not only sell the product but also help to solve the widespread problem this is happening in our day to day society.

We aim to persuade our audience with our images of celebrity endorsement to engage teens which is why we decided to use Selena Gomez. She has a good reputation and is very popular with young teenagers. As she owns a good reputation we believe that our product will gain one just like hers. In addition, Selena Gomez is one to be seen with her natural appearance many of times which is why we believe she will be best to use to represent our campaign.

We hope that our campaign will sell by the images which we created. Our images have bright lighting and the uses of close ups that allows the focus point to be her skin after she has used the product. Our photoshop skills enables us to layer two images of her with and without make up. We've carefully thought about the message each photo will convey. For example the photo with make up will show her unhappy to convey that she is not happy as she has to hide her imperfections by using make up. The image without make up, the lighting will be brighter alongside her body language more relaxed with a happier facial expression. This will support our products aim as she would own a natural clearer skin that makes her feel good.

To conclude we believe that our campaign covers all the aspects of persuade, sell and to inform which covers the purpose of our campaign.
