2) Which advertisers have used shock tactics lately and why are they shocking?
An Irish company tries to aware the audience about how important road safety is. However this is portrayed by using small children on an school trip, all in one place having a picnic but then crushed by an car who in result was speeding. Although this advert is a shock to watch It's said that the only way drivers would listen and get the importance of road safety was to show children dying. It would impact mainly those who are parents as it would devastate them seeing a child die as they could relate it to their child. Also it tries to highlight that children have died due to speeding drivers since 2000. However due to its shocking release the advert was banned from the screens until after 9pm.

The Dove: True colours advert shows expects of the Maslows hierarchy of needs for example self esteem is shown through the this advert. It consists of different girls highlighting their problems, however they discover their true values and how beautiful they actually are.

- The type that are used for specific adverts e.g skincare and beauty products.
- Women are generally the slim and curvy types
- Dove adverts have used unattractive women and photoshopped them to make them look 'sexy', attractive and beautiful.
- Men can be portrayed as the geeky type or the opposite the fit and athletic guy.
5) Different uses for music in adverts
Music is used with various tones and sound however they have different purposes which suits the theme of the advert. For example a campaign like Save the children includes sad tones of music to enhance the audience and to make them feel bad for the situation. On the other hand you have products that have funny, catchy with a happy tone promoting their product like muller- "rice rice baby" is one example. Music is a key feature which helps set the mood of the advert.

A elite person like Usain Bolt or Kevin Bacon are figures who are famous with their separate talents but also with their advertising skill. Usain Bolt with Virgin media and Kevin Bacon with EE advertisements.
